Commissioning editors scout out new writers with a lot of talent and potential.
Actively seeking them out.
Sorting out treatments.
Sorting out the good and bad ideas that people bring forward to them.
Producers
What do they do?
Who do they work with?
The producers conduct the majority of the work, making sure everything is happening within the time schedule, and that everything is happening within budget. The executive producer makes sure the money is there for the film and gives the film praise and glory to everyone else to get them interested.
Directors
What do they do?
Who do they work with?
The director has the majority of the control over the film. They do most of the creative work making sure everything is as they want it.
Script editors
What do they do?
Who do they work with?
They simply edit all of the script to make sure the dialogue works through out the production. For example making sure it makes sense and has a nice sense of flow to it.
Agents (Film and TV)
What do they do?
Who do they work for?
The agents make sure all the people in there books have as much work as possible, this even includes artists and technical crew.
Writers
What do they do?
Who do they work for?
Writers come in many different forms. There are writers for films, a TV series, a books and even plays.
Even though they are writing different things they all have the same same type of mind scape and know how to execute there project.
A writer usually has 3 different things to keep in mind when writing there project. These 3 things are:
1. The organisation of there thoughts and ideas: The writer is the person who is most connected to what is being put on the paper. It is there duty to present and produce and organised vision for the output.
2. Identifying key messages: When writing they must ensure that the message of the content is being passed through the audience and must ensure that the communication of these message are being shown throughout the whole process.
3. Execution: They must execute it with the help of an editor in an organised style, to make sure the text expresses the messages and delivers the content in a new way of thinking and a way that can be understood and can link with the audience.
